The outpouring of love, generosity, and kindness shows me that Orlando is truly the City Beautiful because of its people.
I went to bed Saturday night after a quiet day with my family only to wake up Sunday shocked and stunned. Not believing 49 people were shot and killed and another 53 injured. All this unfathomable violence at the hands of one person filled with so much hate. My world was rocked. All I could think… are my friends safe? Are my clients and vendors (my version coworkers) safe? And then I began thinking of my Orlando community. 30 years of memories came flooding back. During college, I lived only blocks away from Pulse and the Orlando Regional Medical Center where the brave surgeons, nurses and staff were working to saving lives. I knew and felt in my heart that all of Orlando was crying. But I also know that Orlando is strong. #OrlandoStrong
A beautiful tribute from Anderson Cooper. Thank you!
Orlando community and the LGBTQ community are remembering our those lost and hurt at the nightclub, Pulse Orlando on Sunday, June 12th. Orlando is said to be a small big city. We are a population of approx 260 thousand strong, but we receive 60 million tourists a year. That’s huge. The reach of these 102 lives is far. See the faces of the 49 who were lost. Know their names.
We are a small city, but we do things big and yet know the small things matter.

The Orlando community banned together to help feed people standing in the lines to donate blood and the people working.
Local Applebee’s, Chick Fil A, Lowes, Crossfit, Pizza Hut, Dominoes and countless other stores and food chains also came out to support blood bank staff and donors any way they could.
